Ah Becky...I'm glad that you have given this thought. You seem to have a good grasp on many things that are improper to do as a parent, and your desire to not repeat these mistakes is a relief.

Furthermore, and possibly even more importantly, you have realized flaws caused as a result of the less-than-satisfactory aspects of your upbringing- and you're working to fix them.
